SANDUSKY

The WildCat has been tamed.

The small steel roller coaster -- a staple ride at Cedar Point since 1979 -- was shut down more than two months ago when several riders were injured.

The WildCat reopened June 22 when state and park officials determined it was safe to ride once again. In mid-May riders on the coaster experienced a rollback, meaning the train didn't make it all the way up the 50-foot lift hill, rolled back down and slammed into another train.
