The Lakeside Wooden Boat Society is ready to float people back to another era.

The boat society spent more than 2,000 hours restoring a 1937 Richardson boat to its former glory so people of all ages could enjoy a trip back in time, the group's CEO Dwight Davis said.

The boat society will start sunset tours with the 1937 Richardson on July 13. Davis said he hopes to give tours on the boat every day during boating season.
