First of all, Charlie Sams is not a lieutenant at the SPD, he is a captain, and now interim Chief, and he has earned the right to be referred to correctly! I take great exception to the way Matt Westerhold is portraying the SPD commanders. To refer to them as "whiners" and "momma's boys", was not only unprofessional, but extremely childish. You refer to the IMA report as one with "far more insight" than the Murman report. What insight? They back Kim Nuesse, have from the start, that is their right. Only God and Nuesse know the whole truth.

Matt Kline made the decision to fire Nuesse, based on all the facts that he was given. Is everyone in the report lying just to get rid of Nuesse? I doubt that is the case. And, I wonder, if the fired chief was a man, ugly or fat, would Matt Westerhold and the Sandusky egister been so quick to blindly jump on the bandwagon?

Matt Westerhold, it's time for you to start caring about the real iss ues that alot of people are facing- high gas prices, unemployment, foreclosures, just to name a few. Also, you owe Chief Charlie Sams, Lt. Phil Frost, Lt. Max Jarrett, and the rest of the officers of the Sandusky Police Department a public apology. As a journalist, you are supposed to be fair and unbiased when writing a story, tell both sides, and let the public make up their own minds. It's time to move on, to let the Sandusky police officers continue to do what they do best, which is "To Protect and To Serve."
