SANDUSKY

The warehouse of an old foundry has sold for $220,000 to a local bank, which plans to market the building.

The sole bidder on the G & C Foundry Co. Ltd. was Citizens Banking Co. of Sandusky, which filed the foreclosure lawsuit against the foundry in June 2007.

G & C Foundry Co., 2620 W. Monroe St., was appraised at $330,000 and sold for 2/3 of that value, Erie County civil clerk Judy Schwochow said. The foundry is in the process of being dismantled.
