HURON

A group home for clients of the Erie County MRDD has gotten an OK from the city of Huron.

Arc of Erie County housing director Don Roesch told the Arc board Monday night that the project was back on track. Huron law director Lee McDermond wrote a letter informing Arc attorney Thomas C. York that the house could be finished, Roesch said.

The city of Huron issued a stop work order on the Berlin Road home in May contending the home did not fit into the city's zoning code for an R-1, single-family home, or R-2, two-family home, but instead was an R-3 home which is a multi-family dwelling. ARC had taken out the building permit for an R-1 home.
