One day a year people pay their respects to the veterans that served and are still serving our great country.

In 2005, my husband, Todd Corbin, was deployed to Iraq and by the grace of God made it home safely. He also is a deputy sheriff with the Huron County Sheriff's Department. I am grateful for the people that have supported Todd while in the Marine Corps. Todd was presented with the Navy Cross for the efforts he put forth in Iraq.

There have been questions about Todd's back pay while serving in Iraq. I have read several times in the newspaper that Sheriff Sutherland stated he supported the troops and wants them to come home. It was brought to Sheriff Sutherland's attention a year ago that he owed Todd back pay for being on active duty in Iraq. It has been one full year and Sheriff Sutherland has not made good on his word.

Sheriff Sutherland, when you say you support the troops, why don't you support the one that actually works for you?
