I was glad to read in the May 6 Register that someone may be stepping in to investigate the motives and actions taken by Stahl, Crandall, Murray, and Icsman in their involvement with the ongoing disputes, beginning with the approval of the downtown marina, albeit by a very slim margin, and ending with our police chief, Kim Nuesse, being placed on paid administrative leave.

This investigation of Chief Nuesse was way too long and 350-some pages of the long-awaited investigative report sounds like a trial transcript so to speak. Just put Chief Nuesse back in her position which she was qualified. The way Sams has altered a lot of people's positions while she has been on leave seems to me she'll never get her job back, but she will because if she does not, there possibly might be some lawsuits. Police Chief Nuesse has an excellent attorney. When I read about this rotation of jobs since Sams stepped in to temporarily take Chief Nuesse's place, it sounded more like a soap opera What this whole thing boils down to is they just do not want a woman to do a man's job.

Since then, the Rev. Tom Darden, from the Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance, is seeking a recall of three of our city commissioners, Murray, Stahl and Crandall. Commissioner Crandall has already announced his desire to resign and I believe he saw the writing on the wall. the Rev. Darden knows very well what is going on or will be going on down at that water front. Our community is a small community, let us not get ahead of ourselves and try to turn it into something which is not going to happen. We need more Commissioners like Waddington and Fuqua!

Please bring a petition to Monticello Arms and you'll find me to have it signed. Thanks.
