I don't know the chief of police, never met her, only know things about her that I have read or heard, and that is my point!
Why doesn't everyone wait until the investigative report comes out to pass judgement on the way Matt Kline and the City Commissioners have handled this situation. Judge Roger Binette ruled Nuesse is being investigated for "specific allegations of civil and criminal misconduct." There must be more to this story than any of us not privy to the specific reasons she was suspended know. Let the investigation play out before judgements are made.
I also think Matt Westerhold, the Register's editor, should wait until he has all the facts, before he decides to "bash" the Sandusky Police Department. Sandusky Police Officers risk their lives everyday when they put on the uniform. Some of their careers are ended when they get hurt while protecting the citizens of Sandusky.
Case in point: Officer Todd Suarez was seriously injured, while on duty, doing his job, where was all the public outcry, where was the Ministerial Alliance, where was the Register's managing editor, when Officer Suarez was hurt, and told he could not be a police officer. There were other jobs for the city he could have done, but he wasn't given the opportunity. I wonder, has Chief Nuesse even called him to see how he is doing?
All the facts to Chief Nuesse's suspension, are not known. The Ministerial Alliance, Matt Westerhold and everyone else who has jumped on the Nuesse bandwagon should wait until they know exactly why she was suspended, then make up your minds as to whether or not the suspension was justified. No matter how this all plays out, I wish Kim Nuesse and her family all the best.
