Thousands of leather-clad motorcycle riders will roll into downtown Sandusky once again -- this time carrying crossbone flags and hunting for treasure.
This year's Ohio Bike Week, scheduled to begin June 6, features a pirate theme.
"The reason we chose this theme was to somehow thread in the tourist destinations of the shores and islands that the area has to offer," said Steve Ernst, president of Advantage Entertainment & Consulting, which helps produce the event with Roeder Harley-Davidson. "... we wanted to hold the event at a time that helped an already existing tourist infrastructure gain a useful kick start."
