According toa recent letter writer, I am a deviant, have no moral values, no virtue and have nothing good to offer society. I disagree and so would my children.

The primary reason this country and this world are in the shape they are in, is because those if us called to show Christ's love and acceptance to all people, rarely do.

So, while we criticize and name-call, many abused children, rape victims and other hurt members of society never find the hope they need -- especially if they fall into a "despised" category.

For the record, homosexuality does not spread disease, unsafe sex does.

And, to be "deviant" means to deviate from something. Those of us who know we've been gay all our life did not deviate from any path, but often painfully followed the one God had planned for us.

I know there is scripture about homosexuality, maybe one or two. There are, however, hundreds about love, compassion, tolerance, forgiveness and peace. Maybe that is an indication of where God's priorities lie.
