With a new name and fresh leadership, a local plant will be in a better position to market itself to other automotive companies -- a key component to securing its future, its new owner says.
After April 30, Delphi is slated to become Kyklos Bearing International, or KBI.
KBI chief executive officer George Thanopoulos said he anticipates a smooth transition for employees and manufacturing operations, although officials are still in the process of ironing out wage details with the union.
"All the discussions we've had so far have just been very informal," Thanopoulos said. "The more serious discussions will happen probably starting in June."
