The city has received some green to clean up another brownfield.
The U.S. EnvironmentalProtection Agency has awarded the city $200,000 in grants to clean up the two properties formerly known as Sandusky Cabinets at 513 E. Washington St. and 430 E. Market St.
"It's definitely a good thing," city manager Matt Kline said. "We would like to clean it up and market it."
Sandusky was one of 14 brownfield grant recipients in Ohio. More than 300 brownfield grants totaling $74 million were awarded by the EPA nationwide.
