A study could help restore a state park's beach, devastated by storms more than 30 years ago.
East Harbor State Park, 1169 N. Buck Road, Lakeside-Marblehead, received a $57,268 grant from the Ohio Division of Natural Resources for a scientific study to evaluate the damage and determine if further problems could be prevented.
In the early 1970s severe storms flooded more than 80 percent of the lakeside beach. A 1,500-foot stretch of beach is all that remains.
