The Housing and Urban Development-related investigations don't stop at Sandusky.

On Monday, U.S. Housing and Urban Development Secretary Alphonso Jackson announced he will resign effective April 18 in the wake of ongoing ethics investigations.

"There comes a time when one must attend more diligently to personal and family matters," Jackson said Monday. "Now is such a time for me."

The Ohio Department of Development said the Jackson investigations are unrelated to other ongoing investigations, such as the one into Sandusky's HUD-funded Community Housing Improvement Program.
