Tuesday's editorial regarding strict enforcement of laws restricting underage consumption of alcohol and prosecution of adults who provide youth with alcoholic drinks is to be applauded.
However, Monday's Register opinion "Use your head, allow beer at the Erie County Fair" is totally inconsistent with Tuesday's opinion.
Come on, now, guys; which way will it be? Will allowing beer sales at the Fair provide the adult role models which you apprently espouse? Perhaps a breath test for alcohol or a designated driver will be provided at the exits of the fair if beer sales are permitted.
Call me patriarchal (a strange use of the term) if you will, but you cannot justify the risks incurred simply to increase the purse.
No, you should use your heads!
