While city leaders remain silent, police Chief Kim Nuesse is speaking out.
Nuesse said since she has been on paid administrative leave, she has been approached by citizens from all walks of life who have voiced their support for her.
"They feel I'm being targeted for political reasons," Nuesse said. "I can't disagree with it."
Though city manager Matt Kline said it was the police department as a whole that accused Nuesse of creating a hostile work environment, she said she has been approached by officers who are outraged by the allegations.
