Huron County commissioners are taking a few cost-saving measures now to avoid trouble down the road.
On Thursday commissioners gave the go ahead to trim $386,000 from the county's budget. The final budget to be approved Tuesday will be $15.15 million, down from last year's budget of $15.53 million.
"We need to make an adjustment now so we don't wait until October, November, December and say, 'Hey, we've got a problem,'" said commissioner Mike Adelman. "It's not Washington, we can't print money. What it is, is what it is."
