At 11:59 p.m. Wednesday, Western Reserve still had a superintendent. A minute past the stroke of midnight, that was no longer true.
During a special meeting Wednesday evening, Western Reserve school board members unanimously voted to suspend the district's contract with Superintendent Doug Solet effective12:01 a.m. today. Solet will not receive pay during the suspension.
The board is moving forward with firing Solet, who has been on paid administrative leave since last week, for his alleged conduct toward several female employees.
