Hindsight is always 20/20. Some Sandusky city commissioners question whether an announcement hours before the scheduled Perkins Township trustee meeting was the best way to let trustees know the city had gotten a better dispatch offer from the county.
"We dropped the ball on the that," commission president Dennis Murray said matter-of-factly.
On Tuesday afternoon Murray, along with commission vice president Craig Stahl and commissioner Brian Crandall, announced their recommendation that the city should work with the county on a joint emergency services dispatch facility. Crandall hand-delivered the announcement to township trustees only hours before the trustees' scheduled meeting.
