By no means is it a done deal, but the way things are shaping up in Bellevue, there may be wind turbines cropping up in the near future.
Bellevue City Council had its first reading of a proposed ordinance that outlines regulations governing small and commercial energy systems.
"It's a natural energy ordinance to take advantage of the winds we do have here. There has been some desire for these systems to be installed in certain locations of the city, so this would say where you can have them, and where you can't have them," said David Wallingford, Bellevue law director.
