HELENA

The Sandusky County Sheriff's Office seized more than $948,000 in cash after a drug bust in the village of Helena.

The bust comes after two men Jose Lara, 48, and Agustin Lara, 32, were pulled over Feb. 2 with about $209,000 in cash hidden in their car.

Deputies obtained a search warrant for their house Feb. 22 and discovered about 4 grams of cocaine, $739,630 in cash, a loaded .22 caliber handgun, a digital scale, money counter and other items associated with the distribution of narcotics, a report shows.
