Huron school officials are looking for answers.
The district plans to send surveys to parents, staff and students within the next month asking for opinions about implementing a uniform or dress code policy.
"We want to have a committee compile questions specific to each group of people," said Huron superintendent Fred Fox. "Then we'll see where we end up."
Fox wants to have ample time to explore the issue, and Ohio law requires districts to inform parents at least six months before a uniform policy is implemented. Therefore, a policy would start in fall 2009 at the earliest.
Huron began looking into the uniform issue after Sandusky Schools reported success with its policy, which started last fall.
