City leaders are working to make dollars and a sense of a struggling city budget.
The audit finance committee met early Friday morning at City Hall to discuss the city's fragile finances.
"It's 2009 and, quite frankly, 2010 thatworries me," city manager Matt Kline said.
"What will happen if the city stays status quo?" asked commissioner Craig Stahl, liaison to the committee.
"We'll probably join a handful of communities in the state that are on fiscal watch or fiscal emergency," said Ed Widman, city finance director.
One major concern for the city is that income tax revenue generates only37 percent of the city's income.
