Pamida Hometown Values is going, going, almost gone.
It won't be long before the signs hanging at the chain in Bellevue stop boasting the store's values and start announcing "closed" or "for sale."
Out of the blue, the 1082 Castalia St. chain retail, grocery and apparel store in Bellevue announced itis going under along with at least three others in the state, saidBellevue Chamber of Commerce Executive Director DonaldTedhams.
"Boy, that was a low blow. We didn't have any notice," said Tedhams, who helped bring the business to the city 10 years ago. "I worked hard to get that store here -- really hard. And I'm sorry it's going to go."
