Erie County officials say the county's E-911 cellular phone system isn't going to be put on hold much longer.

The long-promised system, which will allow dispatchers taking emergency calls from cell phones to view the callers' locations, will go into effect in late May or June, said Robert Hall, telecommunications coordinator for Erie County.

Hall said the county has taken the next step by revising its Master 911 plan.
