Freezing temperatures and high winds made for a subzero windchill throughout the day Sunday.

Several trees throughout the area were knocked down by the powerful winds and a thin layer of ice coated many roads.

Sunday's high temperature was 34 degrees with a low of 7 degrees. Temperatures are expected to drop to 2 degrees overnight with a wind chill of -10 degrees. West winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts around 45 mph.
