SANDUSKY

Two more families are suing alleged rapist John Riems and his former employer, Concord Care and Rehabilitation Center.

Edward and Gloria Louis are asking for more than $175,000 in damages, according to the lawsuit filed Thursday in Erie County Common Pleas Court.

Gloria Louis was a resident at Concord Care for several months in 2007. She has since moved elsewhere, said attorney Dennis Murray Sr., whose firm Murray & Murray represents the plaintiffs in both suits.

"She was subjected to severe physical and mental abuse ... by John Riems," the lawsuit states.

In the second lawsuit, an unidentified victim "John Doe 1" -- with the support of his wife, son and daughter -- is suing Concord Care and Riems.

That male victim has lived since October 2003 at Concord Care, where he was subjected to physical and mental abuse by Riems, the lawsuit states.

That lawsuit also demands more than $175,000 in damages from Riems and Concord Care.
