Shut up. That's what Perkins Township trustees Bill Dwelle and Jeff Ferrell effectively told township employees Tuesday when they approved a new regulation that bars public comment on township issues.
Employees can speak, however, if their comments are specifically approved by Dwelle or Ferrell, the resolution states, referring to the trustee chairman or vice chairman.
"It's time these public comments are put in line," Dwelle said. "When things are being discussed, those conversations should just be referred to the trustees."
