Local artist Beth Sage has found a new fan club -- the students at Woodlands Elementary School in Huron.
"I come in to work during lunch, and the kids cheer and say, 'the painting lady's here!'" Sage said with a smile. "It's too cute."
Sage is almost finished transforming the bland white walls of the Woodlands cafeteria into an exotic wildlife scene. The artist, who has been painting murals since high school, has become something of a local celebrity. Her work adorns area restaurants and hotels, and Woodlands is the 31st school for which she has painted a mural.
