It is wonderful that citizens are putting markers on several of our historic buildings. I would point out that the Old House Guild did an inventory of every building in Sandusky circa 1983. As a result, many of Sandusky buildings were placed on the National Register of Historic Places. The two that were just marked were part of that inventory. Persons who would like to see the complete inventory can find a copy of it at the Sandusky Library, the Old House Guild, and the Ohio Preservation Office. Maybe all the buildings placed on the National Register will one day be marked with National Register plaques.
