BELLEVUE

As a rule, train yards don't usually cause the public to get excited.  But that hasn't stopped people as far away as Australia from raising their eyebrows and taking notice of Norfolk Southern's train yard in Bellevue.

The international excitement is owed to an 80-foot wind turbine that was installed at the freight yard at the end of the year. Operators of facilities in other remote areas worldwide have contacted Norfolk Southern, hoping to learn more about its sustainable, wind-energy technology.
