Nearly $50,000 in grants from Fisher-Titus Medical Center will enrich education in area schools.

Since 1996, the medical center has given away more than 109 grants to area schools for projects in the areas of math, science and health.

"Today marks the 12th year we've been doing this, and by the end of the afternoon, Fisher-Titus Medical Center will have given away over half a million dollars," said vice chairman of FTMC's Board of Directors Jim Gerken.
