The Sandusky Municipal Court is hopeful that new weapons screenings will disarm potential dangers.
Beginning Monday, Sandusky police will conduct weapons screenings and provide additional security at the court at 222 Meigs St.
"I think it will make people feel much safer," Sandusky police Chief Kim Nuesse said. "Any time you have people coming into court, you have people who are upset."
