Commercial fishermen in Ohio say a new state law harms their industry, and Wednesday hit back with the first of what they say will be a series of lawsuits in state and federal courts.

In a lawsuit filed late Wednesday in federal court in Toledo, Great Lakes Commercial Fisherman LLC claims the law hurts them and favors sports fishermen. The plaintiffs are suing the Ohio Department of Natural Resources and its Division of Wildlife.
