"Bush, Cheney and media lie about war" was another concocted slant and unconscionable attempt to use the lives of fallen patriots to advance your liberal agenda.

Your compassion, for an oppressed nation, becomes transparent as the article rages on. Your liberal bias won't allow you to look beneath the surface and admit there is positive progress and U.S. military intervention is necessary to stop the civilian slaughter.

Do you think a soldier volunteers to serve in Iraq for the combat pay? I think not! They're not mindless; they know "why" they're there. Today's war is about humanitarian issues and freeing a nation from an oppressive government that would kill and maim to control its people and wealth. Hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqis have already died, on a whim, at the hands of their own tyrannical government and terrorist militia. You would have us turn our backs and walk away from them -- how compassionate. Who will save them?

Soldiers, especially those who serve more than a single tour, understand these issues better than any of us could. It becomes a personal mission, a passion to change what injustices they can. A soldier's gut instinct is to free and protect with honor and dignity. How dare you minimize the compassion and conviction of any soldier to "right wrongs" just to sell your agenda!

The atrocities of the Hussein government have revealed the necessity of U.S. soldiers to restore order and help install a government that will govern with democracy as its premise. God bless those who serve (and I did) and understand!
