PERKINS TWP.

Saying she wants to spend time with grandchildren scattered across the U.S., Erie County Commissioner Nancy McKeen announced Tuesday she won't seek re-election to a fourth term as commissioner.

"It's been an absolute pleasure for me to serve the citizens of Erie County," McKeen said.

McKeen, 70, said she'll complete her current term by serving through 2008 and noted she'll be over 71 when she retires.
