Voters in Sandusky and Kelleys Island have come forward to complain that mistakes by apparently confused election workers kept them from voting Nov. 6.

Erie County Board of Elections director Debbie McDowell said mistakes were made by pollworkers handling the provisional ballots of Kevin and Patricia Lykins of Sandusky. She said she doesn't know if pollworkers on Kelleys Island made a mistake when dealing with Robert Quinn, the president of the Kelleys Island school board.
