School bus drivers transport precious cargo. That's why Bus Safety Week is so important, Huron transportation director Jim Blodgett said.
Huron was one of many districts that accepted an offer from the Ohio State Highway Patrol's Sandusky Post to have troopers follow the morning and evening bus routes to watch for people violating school bus laws.
The highway patrol received 18 complaints of bus law infractions so far this year, Sgt. Eric Wlodarsky said.
