HURON

A European company has a bid on the table to pay $16 billion for the assets of Imperial Chemical Industries, the company that owns the former Glidden Paint facility in Huron.

Akzo Nobel, a Netherlands-based company, is planning to purchase ICI Paints by the end of this year, according to Tim van der Zanden, financial media officer for the company.
