NORWALK

The identity of a charred body found in the parking lot behind Wal-Mart early Wednesday morning has been confirmed as 24-year-old Joseph Van Natta, of Norwalk.

A delivery driver for Wal-Mart called for help at about 1:40 a.m. after seeing a Ford Focus on fire.

"The passenger area of the car was fully engulfed in fire," said Doug Coletta, Norwalk fire chief.
