Leave Dwelle alone

Your recent editorial concerning the Ashford Park zoning change was way off base. In reality, the problem was not caused by Mr. Dwelle, but by the incompetence of Mr. Coleman and Mr. Pascoe. If Mr. Coleman or Mr. Pascoe really wanted more time to make the decision, they could have moved to table the motion prior to the vote. Once the Chairman, Mr. Coleman, called for the vote, it was too late. You failed to report that Mr. Coleman and Mr. Pascoe were oblivious to the fact that they had passed the zoning change until the Zon ing Inspector, Mr. Lamb, informed them.

It is the responsibility of each trustee to know the rules they operate under. Instead of blasting Mr. Dwelle, your editorial should have blasted Mr. Coleman and Mr. Pascoe for not knowing the basics of their jobs. I realize that blasting them would not have fit into your agenda.

Your continued harassment of Mr. Dwelle is growing old. We need more leaders like him.
