PERKINS TWP.

For the third consecutive year, Ghostly Manor is ranked a top 10 favorite walk-through attraction by members of the Darkride and Funhouse Enthusiasts group.

The group ranked Ghostly Manor, 3319 Milan Road, its No. 7 favorite walk-through attraction.

Rick Davis, the director and co-founder of DAFE, said the nonprofit organization annually surveys its nearly 300 worldwide members on various topics, including their favorite dark attractions around the world.

The Vienna-based fan organization only ranks attractions that operate year-round or during the summer.

About 90 attractions were nominated this year.

"We're really proud of it," said Jayme Criscione, Ghostly Manor owner.

Last month, about 40 DAFE members visited Sandusky and toured both Ghostly Manor and Cedar Point's HalloWeekends event.

"Every single person who walked out of that house had a huge smile," Davis said.

"Overall, it's really nice."

Several rooms at Ghostly Manor have undergone remodeling, making it a new experience for guests.

"Each year keeps getting better and better," Criscione said. "When people come back they don't remember everything because we always change it."

Last year DAFE ranked Ghostly Manor its No. 6 favorite walk-through attraction. In 2005, the group ranked it the No. 10 favorite walk-through attraction.

"I just love the place in general," Davis said about Ghostly Manor.
