As a parent of a Sandusky High School student, I am very happy to see the students in uniform after being in the school and seeing a young lady sent home to change by officer Lonnie Newell for wearing hipster pants and a half shirt.
Because it's difficult to find the uniforms, I suggest the school board order the uniforms from one company with the school emblem on the front of the polos and sweat shirts. Another suggestion would be to let them get their names embroidered on the front. This would help teachers learn student names and if they had to change for a sports event, they would be able to identify misplaced items.
This would save a lot of time for parents as well as the students.
Also, the kids won't be sent home for non-uniform clothing, such as pants without belt loops.
