A sentencing hearing for the man who attempted suicide in the Erie County Jail has been postponed indefinitely.

This follows an Aug. 28 injury when Timothy J. Thayer hurled himself headfirst over a second floor jail walkway railing and plummeted 13 feet to the concrete floor below. His condition has since improved.
