City commissioners to vote on seven items Monday
The Sandusky City Commission will have its first meeting of the month on Monday.
Kathie Mueller, Co-Chair of the Friends of Pipe Creek Watershed and Bre Hohman, Firelands Coastal Tributaries Watershed Coordinator, will give a presentation at the beginning of the meeting.
The commission will vote on a total of seven items Monday night, including whether or not to approve legislation to allow the Sandusky police department to purchase a 2007 four-wheel-drive Chevrolet Tahoe. The total cost of the vehicle, including the police package, is expected to be $35,888.
Using the Ohio Cooperative Purchasing Program, the city will receive the benefit of a state-negotiated price.
The vehicle would be purchased with funds from the police department's 2007 budget.
The commissioners will also vote on whether to begin the application and approval process for shore permits for the redevelopment of the Geo. Gradel and Deep Water Marina property.
The city has already decided to move forward with phase two of the Bayfront Paper District Redevelopment Project and hopes to move forward with the process without further delay.
The Sandusky City Commission meeting will be at 5 p.m. Monday at City Hall, 222 Meigs St.
