I stated in a recent letter to the editor that I am voting NO on the Marina District project. I am also voting NO on the upcoming Sandusky City School levy for a number of reasons. First of all, forcing the students to wear uniforms. The teacher who started this whole thing ought to be ashamed of herself for forcing her will on the student body.

I saw in Thursday's Register that Mr. Poggiali was pleased with the parents making sure their children were properly dressed for school. I say if the parents had done their job in the first place of making sure their children were properly dressed, they wouldn't have to wear uniforms.

I am also voting no because I'm not convinced the district needs it. Why hasn't anyone said anything about cutting some of these $100,000 salaries that some administrators are making? Why can't the school board live within its means? People are being taxed to death and have had enough of it. I have to live within my means. Also, I think too much is being spent on athletics and not academics as where the focus should be. These are some of the reasons that I am voting NO on the Sandusky school levy and I urge every voter to do the same.
