City manager search kicks into high gear

Four area residents are among the 45 applicants for the position of Sandusky city manager.

Eric Dumbeck, Norwalk, is the former director of Huron County Job and Family Services. He has a bachelor's degree from Cedarville University along with a master's degree in clinical counseling from Heidelberg, where he graduated with honors.

Alan McDougle, Sandusky, has experience as the director of finance and purchasing, city treasurer and director of taxation for the city of Lima. He has a bachelor's degree from the University of Toledo.

David Mulvin, Sandusky, is the former director of public services for the city of Sandusky and former superintendent of Oakland Cemetery. He received a bachelor's degree from The Ohio State University.

Reese Wineman, Norwalk, is currently in private legal practice. He received both his bachelor's and law degrees from the University of Toledo.

The city manager search committee met at 5 p.m. Thursday to discuss all of the candidates and select applicants to recommend for interview by the commission.
