BELLEVUE

Bellevue school board members plan to hold off on a levy, worried that a November attempt would be foolhardy given the recent dispute between former Bellevue schools Superintendent Jim Lahoski and two board leaders.

Member Beverly DeBlase said the community has soured toward the board after heated court proceedings between Lahoski and board Vice President Martin Shelley and President James Linder. At Wednesday's board work session, she said putting a levy on this soon would not go over well.
