The Erie County Fair got off to a soggy start this morning but is on track for a beautiful day of babies and fair pageant contestants.
According to the Sandusky Register weather station, the area received over four inches of rain this morning.
Local Emergency Management Agency officials say the National Weather Service hasn't issued any watches or warnings for local tributaries or rivers, but they are monitoring the situation.
At the fairgrounds paths are wet, but busy.
"Things are going well. We have a little bit of water standing but it's being handled," said Sherri Fear of the fair office. " I think we will have a good day."
