Heavy rainfall this morning led to flash floods in parts of Vermilion.
Three animals were rescued from the two feet of water that damaged the facilities at The World Animal Foundation. The animals were placed in foster care, but the organization's 5725 Liberty Ave. facility was closed.
"When we reopen we'll be starting from scratch," Gary Barnby, president of the non-profit, said in a news release. "Virtually everything has been destroyed."
